Re: Harris bipod
I have seen a post on youtube. So have not tested it, and cant say it is so. The guy shows that if you use a bipod like a harris or any other.
They work fine on soft ground. But on a bench you loose some accuracy.
Reason he says is. The bipod is pressing on a hard surface. As you shoot vibration travels down the bipod.
Hits the hard bench and vibrates back into rifle before bullet leaves barrel. On ground the vibration goes away.
He suggests when you shoot from a bench to put a rubber mat under the bipod to counter this.
I have not tried or tested this. As i leave my bipod on when shooting from bench but still use my benchrest stand.
