What an awesome thread. I am hoping to get myself an AK platform rifle in the next few months, so this thread is getting me pumped.

Had a visit from Aimpoint sales manager Juuso Austin: after I told him I'm going to give a demo on Value Manufacturing products and I have a Trijicon MRO on top of my AK, he drove to bring me a box full of Aimpoint products. The fact that he's got broken ribs and he's on sick leave didn't stop him from driving for a couple of hours just to bring them to me. Respect.

Aimpoint Micro T-2 plus 3X Mag-1. Now it's close to perfection...

Who do you think will be best to take my 56 to to get this type of setup done?

Most of that work seems to be user installable. The biggest issue will be attaching a Soviet side-rail which will require drilling a d riveting . The rest is plug and play.

Hi All. Does the magpul ms3 gen 2 sling work with the standard attachment points on the fixed stock type 56?

Mine works well with the Saiga handguard retaining plate hook and the stock swivel in my AK103 style when used in 2 point method.

It hangs a tad low using the one point setup off the AK swivel hook in the stock. But I'm a short arse.

I don't know how much a stock T56 differs feom the Saiga.

About my setup: all work was done by myself in my garage but cutting and threading of the barrel which I left for a pro gunsmith to do. No special tools needed if you have an access to an installation jig. There will be a importer in SA hopefully pretty soon who will provide installation services for this gear.

I am in south africa, the part i am concerned about is chopping the barrel down and threading it, my aimpoint h2 will be fitted with a rear sight replacement rail.

I just picked up my card!!!! my 56 will be in my paws tomorrow
