Default Raven Concealment Vanguard 2 Query

    Hi All

I am looking to order a Vanguard 2 holster from Raven Concealment. I would please like some advice from those who have purchased this product.

    1. Is it advisable to purchase the advanced kit that has the raven claw as apposed to the basic kit.
    2. What would you suggest between the overhooks vs the soft loops.

    Thanks

There was a group buy on this not too long ago.

I recall many people being interested and missing out, perhaps you can arrange something similar that way shipping and tax could be split.

BTW I use one and haven't looked back, might consider to upgrade to the latest model if you do deside to start a oder.

Raven Claw wasn't available yet, when the group order was done if memory serves correctly, so probably not many have tried it.

I would definitely take the claw option. It is removable if you don't like it.

But I'm going to mod one of mine with something similar.

I was one of the guys in on the group buy. Haven't looked back. I even declined the option a member kindly extended to me to buy a Comptac MTAC, my previous holster favourite which I did not have for my present carry gun.

Would have loved the option the get the CLAW but will wait for Skaaphaas' feedback on his mod. Hope I don't have to wait as long for it as feedback from the guys trying the Ulticlip with the Vanguard...

Regarding the soft loop vs the overhooks, the snap dot fastener above your beltline using the soft loops does draw some eyes in my experience. The overhooks should be a bit less conspicuous but not sure if you will draw the holster out along with the weapon on the odd occasion. Probably shouldn't, it being a Raven product. Still, the pictures of the overhooks have wondering.

Is it possible to get the overhooks separately ?

Thank you for the feedback. I have heard many positive reviews regarding the Vanguard 2 and it seems like an option to look at.

Anyone using the overhooks experience the issue of drawing the holster and the overhook?

@Red Falcon their website does have an option to purchase the overhooks on the advanced kit

If the overhook is anything like the MTAC's J-clips, buy it.
