Same here. If you guys do a group buy, I'm in.
I bought my VR 2 in the group buy last time and it's the only holdster I use.
I would think the claw will help keep the handle closser to my body.
Have no idea regards the j-clips. The soft loop don't bother me. My Condor instructor belt hides it anyway.

I carry using the soft loop and it's very comfortable and conceals well. Can't really provide an opinion on the over-hook though.
