    Default New GOSA Paid Membership

    Membership Structures:

From now until our General Meeting in February we are going to test our paid membership model. We will retain our current Facebook (unpaid) membership, but we are adding several categories of paid membership to enable us to bring certain additional benefits to the members.

As you all know we have a legal team on tap who have caused the Earth to tilt on its axis over the last few months. Thus far their work has gone unpaid but appreciated. Lest we encounter donor fatigue we need to start remunerating them for their labours.

To herald in the changes the legal team/Team GOSA will now take the form of the Foundation for the Defence of Democracy (FDD).

Our membership model has three levels, Silver, Gold, and Diamond. All levels include discounted access to the FDD.

Additionally, Gold membership will also include third party liability insurance cover to at least R250 000 in the case of a legitimate use of your firearm/s.

On top of this we have Diamond membership which will comprise access to the FDD, the third party insurance cover as well as legal insurance to the tune of R150 000 for use in the case of a legitimate use of your firearm/s.

The Silver Membership will cost R50 per month or R500 per year.
The Gold Membership will cost R99 per month or R990 per year.

The Diamond Membership will cost R150 per month or R1500 per year.

We have additional benefits which we are contemplating and will be bringing to the members on a continuing basis, but these memberships will give us the funds to continue to represent you in Parliament, with SAPS and other government departments, expand and increase the 'Girls on Fire' programme, increase our positive media footprint, and research and publish our own peer-reviewed, South African specific material to support civilian firearm ownership for ourselves and our children.

We will make a Paid Membership form available in the next day or two.

Paul, congrats, this is probably the best development in gun rights in ages! I'm eager to become a formal part of it.

Is my understanding correct that the "new GOSA" will be formally constituted in February then?

Great news, will the fees be per member, or will we have a family membership as well.
    Good either way
