Aftermarket Tactical Light for Franchi Pump Action
Is there an aftermarket option for me on my 7-shot pump-action Franchi where I can attach a tactical light setup to the magazine tube? Details and advice appreciated.

You can look at a Surefire forend, where a Surefire tac light is built into the shotguns forend, but I think it's about R3000.
Otherwise for about R500 you can get a cheaper no name brand, with remote activation pad and a barrel mount.A roaring Lion kills no game

Looks like you'll have to try the no name brand unless you buy the mount seperately and just attach the Surefire

The dedicated fore end lights for shotguns are slowly being replaced by replacement railed fore ends to which the light and mount of your choice can be attached a la the AR15 rails, etc. While this can be more expensive, it does allow for more latitude in selection of positions and lights.
For your Franchi, I think your best bet will be to contact Khumba and see if the two of you can brainstorm a solution using a short length of rail, a suitable-sized scope ring and a decent LED torch (the little OLight 20 I got from him is a great light at a very good price and might make for a good combination but he will know more about that than me) A good LED will put out more light and won't break under recoil like many incan lamps will.
I sent a friend a setup for his 1300 some years back and we used a SureFire G2 with a 1in scope ring and a barrel band attached to the barrel just forward of the fore end. it works for him, but if you are willing to attach a small rail section to your fore end I think this will be a better solution. No one, as far as I know, makes any dedicated tactical stuff specifically for the Franchi guns.
KK20...let me know if you decide to get a SF fore end for your 1300 and we will see about a Malkoff LED replacement for the standard lamp.Run Fast, Bite Hard!
