I suppose the first step is to get a consensus amongst a few people that will be committed to supporting the initiative. It needs to be understood that he initial period will require some sort of financial contribution, and that the initiative is never going to be a generator of profit, the best we can hope for is to cover costs, and all work is on a volunteer basis.

In the mean time I'll do some research on what is involved logistically, and costs.

Seems like there is a Gauteng Pin Shooters already. Going to check it out, and post feedback here.

We do Pin shooting in Tzaneen. We have a active club that compete at least once every month. Most of our members also belong to the Bushveldt Hunting Association, Letaba branch and make use of the Letaba branch shooting range.

I also want to start pin shooting. I live in Pretoria. Saw the GPSA website but it is very outdates and I assume they no longer exist.

I used to shoot pins out at Heidelburg & then at Golden city, & wouldn't mind starting again. Went to 2 shoots at cecil Payne & got stuffed around both times, so not really interested in the current Gauteng set up if it still exists.

I am trying to start the pin shooting section in Newcastle (that's north of KZN) The registration/affiliation seem to take time with the SAPSA. I would appreciate the contact numbers for the Richards Bay guys. TIA.

Currently there is no club in Pretoria, but you are welcome to come and have a chat at one of the next major events, so that we can get you started.

The upcoming shoots are as follow:
Limpopo Open, 3-4 September 2011, Pins Extreme Range in Pietersburg (Polokwane)
SAPSF Nationals, 24-25 Septmber 2011, Cecil Payne Range, Maraisburg, JHB.
