What in, everyone's view, is the best load for social purposes in your shotgun and why?

I load S&B 12 pellet OO buck it patterns nicely out of my gun and should penetrate sufficently. I want to put rifle sights on my shotgun and will probably play around with more slugs but with the current setup I only use buck.

Nevermind rifle sights you just need some sights!

That 12 pellet stuff is the shizniz. That's whats in mine. With a couple of brenneke slugs on the side saddle.

Anything bigger too little pellets
Anything smaller... pellets too little.

Rubber, 34gr #5's, SSG or slugs. Depends on what the social occasion is. My gun is kept loaded with 3 rnds SSG (empty chamber - unless I'm socialising), 2 baton and 2 slugs in the ATI stock with some safariland 2 rnd belt carriers with #5 and additional SSG close at hand. For more formal socialising, I carry a tactical belt with an additional 30 SSG's.

A question why the rubber? I tend to agree with Ayoob that using a lethal weapon for non lethal purpose could be problematic. Loading a slug when you meant to load rubber or vice versa would not be good. Just curious.

Just another question...

I have never asked for rubber in 12bore shotgun shells...are they available?
