Have you lost a knife
So having been on Gunsite for a couple of years I 'discovered' the knife forum section recently...
Been reading through old threads and it seems like most people have at some point lost a knife.
Now losing a R300 SAK is not the end of the world (I have) but losing a Benchmade/ZT/Spyderco etc would be rather upsetting, especially considering how much they have increased in price the past couple of years.
I have collected knives since I can remember and have a few custom SA knives (will add to the Pron thread) and a few branded knives (Kershaws, Muela's, CRKT's, SAK's, German Puma's, Enlan's etc, don't really like the thumb holes on Spidies so don't own any) BUT I carry my CRKT Drifter, because of the fear of losing my more valuable knives.
Anyone else feel the same way? Has the thought of losing a 3.5k Emerson or ZT prevented you from buying or carrying one?

I lost a Benchmade Nimravus, climbing over a wall 15 years ago. This thread has bought the sadness back.

Re: Have you lost a knife
My spyderco was repossessed by our domestic for reason I still don't understand! I still look at the empty box and think why why why!

Re: Have you lost a knife
In recent years the only knife I lost was a CRKT Pazoda. Two of them. Seems the pocket clips were weak, and since then the stronger a pocket clip holds, the better for me.

Just checked on Sharpedge now.
Victorinox Alpineer. Cheap enough to replace. Perhaps in time I can pretend it's the same knife that I carried through so many adventures as a boy on a farm.Sent electronically, thus not signed.

My first Spyderco. Native, semi serrated. Still bloody bleak about that...
