Default Daystate wolverine 303/303hi lite in .22 caliber

Does anyone out there have a Daystate Wolverine 303 in .22 caliber 60lb or the 30 hi lite version. I would be interested to get opinions on this models performance as am considering a second PCP

Your go to guys for this question would be Budlust and Yeti. Drop them a PM if they don't respond here.

Its Daystate, basically one of the top 3 or 4 Airrifle brands in the world, BUDlust won't know a quality airrifle if he shot himself in the foot with one
That 303 is pricey, you need to haul around all your kit if you plan to shoot more than 4 shots(with the .303 caliber) with it but Id buy one any day if they were available/affordable and you didn't need to license the bigger calibers.

If I had to take a wild guess here you are probably looking at around R50 000 for that rifle if you can find one, the .22 would be an awesome PCP to but they are also pricey. Daystates are quality accurate airrifles you wont go wrong with one

    True Siebs... true!

Also, be careful where you buy it from. There are unscrupulous dealers out there. Make sure it is not a grey import, as it will not be supported by Wyan Schoonwinkel, the only OFFICIAL Daystate-trained service agent in SA.

The next question I have is the availability of 303 pellets in South Africa? I have not seen any at any dealer in Gauteng

    I'm confused.

    Are we talking about a .303 or a 5.5mm?

Well first thing on any airrifle. Make sure its Regulated.

From what ive read on some reviews the 303 is non regulated.

To me its off the list to won then.

Any PCP over 10 000 should at least have a regulator in. Without it you have a powercurve. And have to work out where your accuracy shots is.

Regulated is from shot 1 to the last the same.

I still cant believe how the very well made Air arms comes unregulated. YOu can custom fit one afterwards.

But I believe the high end makers should at least have the regulator standard.

The second thing they should have. Is a design to eliminate hammer bounce. To increase air efficiency.

Paying +20 for any airrifle unregulated to me makes no sense.

May a person however buy a .30 without a license.
Isnt the rule it should be under a certain bore diameter.
I know some shops believe it or not still have issue stocking 5.5mm,

Short answer, No you need to license it like any other FA.
5.5mm pellet you can buy and shoot without any problems, basically when you want to load a bigger pellet than that it needs a license like any other FA
