ALG AK trigger mini review
I picked up my ALG AK trigger kit yesterday morning from Ihawu who ordered it for me from Bernhard Agencies (special thanks to Don, Teri and BigT)
Instructions were thorough and pretty straight forward and installation was easy. I had previously learned to strip my Saiga trigger and hammer assemblies with the help of AGI's video on the AK. After field stripping, removed safety, hooked trigger spring legs around hammer 'wings', removed shepherd's crook retaining wire, tapped out pins, removed hammer and trigger group.
The only fitting required was a little roll pin to properly engage the safety lever. Without the roll pin there was too much play so the trigger could have discharged with the safety on due to its short pull. Basically I tapped the roll pin into a hole on the rear of trigger and then filed it down til it was the right height. I had to file it on a diagonal angle as the safety moves through an arc. Now the trigger has almost no play all the way through the safety's movement until it is completely off.
The single stage trigger is absolutely awesome! Light, crisp, short, with a really short reset. A world of difference over the heavy two stage military style trigger with lots of takeup and a long reset. There is an included optional add-on spring in case the trigger is too light for your liking. The face of the trigger is quite wide and flat which initially felt a little odd compared to the old curved trigger but I quickly got used to it.
I am absolutely happy with the upgrade and highly recommend it.

Re: ALG AK trigger mini review
Thanks for the thread, I've had mine on my 101 for a few weeks now and love it. Really a great piece of kit.

Re: ALG AK trigger mini review
Thanks for sharing. I like the idea of a nice trigger on an AK.
Anyone have any idea if this would fit the Dashprod?"You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life."

Re: ALG AK trigger mini review
What is the trigger and hammer pin setup like in the dashprod compared to the AK family?

Re: ALG AK trigger mini review
Isn't the Dashprod just a short AK in 5.56?

Re: ALG AK trigger mini review
It fits the 101 with a little bit of work, I'm assuming the Dashprod has a similar system.

Re: ALG AK trigger mini review
It fits the 101 as it is standard ak spacing on the pins. Dashprod, no idea

Re: ALG AK trigger mini review
I'm sure it's the same, but I'll check it out.

Re: ALG AK trigger mini review
Thanks for the info P2W
I have one of these on order. I felt one recently and it's brilliant.
What round count have you guys done with this? Has anyone experienced any light strikes? Reason I'm asking is, I get a light strike every now and then in my AR with the CMC trigger. I really enjoy the CMC, which is cool, but 100% reliability is priority.
Also the original in the T56 is double hook. Is this single hook and would that be ok?

Re: ALG AK trigger mini review
The ALG combat trigger is excellent in a AR15. I am running them in 2 different ARs.
