Default BS you've heard in the gunshop

Here is one that made me smile a little...

It would seem that Beretta have now abandoned their trusted (P-38 copied) tilting wedge locking system and reverted to blow-back operation. This on a 40 S&W calibre pistol nogal!

    Buyer beware!

The above pic is from an online ad by a larger local FA dealer.

    Can you say "felt recoil"?

I have had a few "interesting" conversations in the same shop. "Glocks not being safe to be carried loaded" being one of them. And they are selling Glocks and are affiliated to (owned by) a local Glock importer. Go figure...

It may be referring to "blowing your hair back"?

About a month ago I visited the local gun shop and while I was there a guy walks in and starts asking one of the sales guys what he needs to do to get his handgun proficiency as he needs to start all over.

The reason: He owns/owned a 38 special but he has no idea where it is or what happened to it. By the sounds of it, the firearm disappeared some time ago.

From what I gathered he also did not report it to SAPS. I couldn't believe what I was hearing...

I would love to know what the sales guy was thinking while listening to him. :)

And I guess it will not be long before the frame will sustain enough blow back damage to make the gun inoperable.

Most famous one from sales staff in a gun shop "You cannot use your S16 firearm for self defence". This is when my wife lifted her jacket to reveal her S16 licensed M&P9...
We tried to correct them, but to no avail.
    Have not been there since.

I'm very curious now as to who it is?

Apparently you have to have a gunsmithing license to change the sights on your glock
