True. I would insist that the holster completely covers the pin. That should also make it IDPA legal.
Would probably carry it Appendix. A bigger bulge there can only help.

Just ensure that your jacket conceals the holster correctly and try not sweep yourself with blast fragments when using....

M1 Garand? What m1 would the navy have?

    I understood it as the M1 - 60mm Mortar.

Proper use of cover should be mandatory. A FTDR may be also be assessed depending on injuries.

And to think I was worried about the grenades...

Sooooooo, elephant in the room time. Have these been acquired by terrorists or your garden variety gang bangers/ATM bombers/CIT guys? I'm supposing no-one can know for certain but I'd hate to be in a mall when the terrorists bring along 72 grenades. Or at an open air event and the M1 is used to supplement the firework display.

They stole a MORTAR? Yikes. Do they have mortar rounds to go with, is what I am wondering.

Note that the M1 mortar thing is an assumption by me. It might be shoddy reporting and just be an R1 as well, but if they did take a mortar that would be quite nasty.

if we're luckily and they put it on youtube... they'll think the grenades go into the mortar.
unless they actually stole 72 mortar rounds.................

Seen a screenshot of an Afrikaans newspaper somewhere, might be Bookface. The sentence reads something like "...R1 en M1 aanvalsgewere". So they refer to it as an assault rifle which is obviously wrong. It might be *anything*. Browning, Thompson, Garand, 30 carbine, etc etc. Granted a lot of those options aren't likely but hey, maybe your guess is correct. In that event, let's hope that the 72 grenades isn't in fact mortar ammunition!
