Re: Howa's answer to Ruger Precision
The Rugers with a higher $ price, brought in at a much higher exchange rate, didn't even sell for your R33,000 so I'm guessing and hoping these will come in way under that at the current exchange rate.
I also bought a $1000 rifle (on special) when the rand was way up there for R22k. I'm going to guess a retail price of around R18,000 - R20,000 here for this Howa.

Re: Howa's answer to Ruger Precision
Well, does it really matter if it retails for R30k? I think you are closer to the true price though. Whichever way one looks at it the Howa has always been a really good rifle for a great price and will shoot with with just about any factory rifle that costs twice as much. It certainly compares well with the Tikka T3 and this model will compete in the market with the T3 Sporter. I know which one I would buy.

Re: Howa's answer to Ruger Precision
looks good! Howa M1500 in chassis from factory.
wish they can offer better barrel options for the .243Win tho.
for the PRS/LR game which this is aimed at?
26", 1 in 8" or faster....etc.
also PRS/chassis rifles from Tikka and Savage.....

Re: Howa's answer to Ruger Precision
Jip, it's about time Howa brings out both the .243 and .223 HB rifles with 1 in 8" barrels. I would buy either.
