Was patrolling with neighborhood group that evening, was on radio.
Observed scene, SAPS, SSP's and emergency personnel attending to alleged perpetrator.
    Ovambo, from Namibia.
There is a 'syndicate' of them operating in Cape Town specializing in house robberies, fairly active in southern suburbs.

Which made me wonder the following..
Had the resident been shot it would have been all over the newspapers, with a negative connotation attached to the use of a firearm once again being used to commit crime.
But yet I can find no reference to the incidence anywhere on papers or internet.
Does a story of a man saving his family from potential harm through legitimate use of a legally owned firearm not sell as many papers as the latter observation??

Send to a news24 journalist, will be interesting to see their response and if they publish it

Ovambian to distinguish them from Ovambos, which everybody who did a turn on the border knows are Spekenham viennas in brine aka Ovambopiele.
