    Default Tambotie Firearms Festival - 27 August 2016

    Hi all

    Short notice, I know. It seems Doc Williebees has been a bit too busy this year.

    Any case, the festival is on Saturday, so if you haven't got plans yet, then consider yourself booked!

    It promises to be a great day out, as always, with:

    • PMP grouping competition;
    • BASA Big Bore/Big Game range;
    • .22 Big Game range;
    • Handgun Range;
    • Active hunting range;
    • Junior .22 range;
    • Trap shooting; and
    • The one and only Boer vs. Brit shoot.

    As is custom, the Kudu and Springbuck for this year's evening festivities have already been harvested and aged and will (apparently) be prepared by a master of the craft.

    There is camping facilities available for both Friday and Saturday night, and entries for the PMP grouping competition are open from 19:00 to 21:00 on Friday night.

    The Festival is held on the Knapskoot shooting range outside of Ellisras.

    See the website for directions and more information (even though the dates are old, the rest of the info is legit).

    Buller's Bastids (the Sas crew) will be riding again to run the handgun range and defend their dubious honour in the Boer vs. Brit shoot.

    I will be there too manning the GOSA stand.

    See you there.

    JS4 thanks for posting. Yes we are quite busy organizing the festival.

    I will try to update the website today, but as JS4 pointed out, there are in fact no major changes.

    The most serious change is probably the non-attendance of Truvelo.
    There will be no Truvelo sniper rifle demonstrations this year, but we will do our utmost to ensure that they are there in 2017.
