Imports from the USA
Good evening all,
Would like to know if there are any south african gun shops or dealers that import from the USA?
Particularly from Brownells. I believe GICS was one but they no longer exist.
Regards
Richard

Re: Imports from the USA
Hi Guys.
Ordered some 'bits and pieces' from Brownells.
A great company.
Posted out of the USA by them on 5 August with a USPS Track and Trace number. LZ******62US
Still no sign of it here in SA.
SAPO Customer Services say that they have no record of it as... 'JIMC do not scan most of the LZ,LN and LM parcels...They just forward them straight to the destination post offices.
My 'destination post office' says that they haven't got a clue what they are talking about and will need the ZA tracking number....and so the nonsense continues !
Regards,
Keith.

Re: Imports from the USA
Parcels from the US are currently taking around 6 or so weeks to arrive from the date of posting, in my limited experience. Still waiting for a sign of one posted 12 July.

Waiting for a parcel from Brownells; mailed 3 August.
Used this website to track it down: http://globaltracktrace.ptc.post/gtt.web/
Was at customs until 21/08 but has now moved on to central parcel depot.

Re: Imports from the USA
Got a email from Brownells today. They will ship to sa but there is a 250$ fee payable for a import license if the component or part is over 100$. Just hapens to be my luck the actual part is 119$.

Re: Imports from the USA
About time they raise that ITAR limit. Costs have risen but the limit has not.
