Peroxide Vinegar lead remover ?.
Stumbled a across a piece of writing with photos and public response about cleaning lead out a barrel using 50% peroxide and vinegar for a super quick super clean barrel. Got a lot of thanks and yes it works responses. Now i know peroxide is a awesome and very under utilized chemical ( it was used as the rocket fuel in space rockets I think) - but does it not destroy metal, or is it just non ferrous metals. i always thought peroxide was a vicious stuff. Any of the engineering chemist types please educate me.

I don't know about peroxide but I would not let vinegar come near a blued gun. Unless you want to remove the bluing really fast, and dot not have the time to just bead blast it off.
Keep the vinegar away from your gun...

Re: Peroxide Vinegar lead remover ?.
Lead acetate is one of the soluble salts of lead. Peroxide speeds up the oxidation of the lead. Be very careful of the blueing, as M43 mentioned. I can blue a scrap piece of steel, and check if vinegar peroxide mix affects it.
