There was really no communication between the different companies that time...companies/platoons kept to them selves, no interaction what so ever. Especially , Eco company, the singing squad of corporals...those guys was fit and could really sing when working as a platoon..man, it was great to watch them and hear them sing...poetry in motion...

We had a Major Tom Ferreira , according to folk lore he was quite a type Maj. Dan Pienaar guy...I myself has never seen him in action.....we had a sergeant major Coetzee, one of the nicest people/PF I have ever met.

There were good people all around in Infantry school, the not so nice one were around, but it seems I stayed out of their way...

What I miss the most was the singing and guitar playing after the day`s activities..it really was something special...guard duty was a activity I really did not enjoy at all...who would attract an army base like Infantry school.. Sunday mornings coffee and sandwiches were nice as well...

These two guys walk past an officer, the one holding the box in both hands, so he was not in a position to salute the officer. The soldier alongside him notice they have a problem coming, so he decided the best solution to this problem is to salute with his right hand as usual and the same time use his left hand to salute for his buddy.... When they passed the officer...still in "pas " I might mention..the officer turned his head away and try to hide a smile turning into a laughter...

This happened in my time too hahahaha.......were you perhaps at 10 AA?
