I think GICS imported a bunch by mistake. Otherwise dealers have no idea what an AK-74 is in my experience.

Definitely 74 mags, remember I'm in NZ too. They could be manufactured by some crowd in America or something but just curious. I'd run a 74 here too but 5.45 ammo is pretty scarce, so scarce that if the main stealership in the country doesn't stock the ammo, I'm not a player.

I have 2 Soviet Izhmash/Izhevsk mags that came with my 1962 AKM Kalashnikov, some slab side Russians and some Bulgarian Circle 10 overmoldeds - these are super tough.

More than 30 different AK mags available currently around SA. Including some of the ones the US regards are very rare.
Not hard to find. Prices around R800-1200 or so for the scarcer ones, R300 to R500 for the average.

Bakelites are going for about R600 at the moment
slabsides etc if you can find them R350

My Romanian drum mag, not sure of the value, but those commercial korean chinese rear loader copies are selling for over R2K,
