    Default RANGE ACCREDITATION BY SAPS

My shooting range out near White River has been approved/accredited by the NRCS, but I am still waiting SAPS accreditation. My application was submitted two months ago. Does anyone know how long I will be waiting for SAPS to approve/decline?. Same period as firearm licencing??

I think I am correct in stating that shooting ranges are accredited by SABS?

It's not called SABS accreditation anymore, it's now NRCS accreditation. Ranges where training is done must also be SAPS accredited. SAPS accreditation takes place only after NRCS accreditation.

IIRC it takes about the same amount of time as licensing.

    FRUSTRATION!!!
So I got a call from the DFO today. It seems my application was returned because the registration documents of the Sole Proprietorship under which I operate my range were not attached...???? You would think those tasked with evaluating applications would know that a sole proprietorship cannot be "registered" as with a CC or Pty LTD. Even worse, they also want a letter of appointment in which I appoint myself as the responsible person for operating the range...... eisshhh!!!! Another three months to wait now!
