Then write in your motivation that it will be for 90% fun.

I know a few guys that started out with Mini's, because that is what you could get before we were lucky with Ar15's and most have switched to the AR.

A saving of +-R5k is nothing in the world of Semi auto shooting, thats 1000 rounds of ammo which would last about 4 training sessions and 2 matches

Have you considered a norinco type 84 (AK in 223) or a dashprod? Might fit your budget

I would go for the stag from spartan then. If it's a bit more borrow some cash as the waiting time for license will be a while
