I like those. Hollow base and a meplat like a SWC, they sure ought to seal well and be lethal.
I haven't seen anything similar over here except minie balls and they all have pointed ends. Are molds available?

Here is a link to the page...contact these people and see what they have for you available in terms of a mold.

Would you say it is important to fill the hollow base up with lube as well???

That 395gr 50cal bullet was probably the best design in my range of bullets. It is just so well balanced. Shoots well and performs extremely well on game.
The Gamestalker range of hunting bullets are essentially a combination of the Minie and Maxi ball features. Over the years it has taken a lot of game.

Yes , Sean, I definitely am impress with these bullets..I shot them at the 1882 Black powder hunt recently. They are extremely accurate. I will use them on an upcoming hunt later this season. I now have a dedicated black powder rifle , a Ardessa ( Spain) hunter , 50 cal rifle ...

If the hollow base expands under pressure to seal the bore and not let gas escape, I see no reason to use lube in the base. For that matter, I don't see any reason to use lube in or on any base. In the grooves, yes, it is needed.
If used in the base with no wad under it, it would contaminate some of the powder.
