Flir Scout TK
Has any of the members used one of these? Im looking at purchasing one but would like some feedback first!

One of my nighbours have a Flir Scout II. (He paid R25K for it ) It works great. We used it to look for bushpig at night and it really works well. If I had the money, I would buy myself one and unfortunately Father Christmas was broke when he pick out my presents.
You just have to be very careful while using it - don't look at any lights (even a lit cigarette at close range) can blow the Flir.

HI Jan , FLIR thermals are not damaged by the sun or hi heat or light sources. Only thermal cores that do not have an automatic shutter can be damaged. All FLIR cores have a built in shutter. Night vision on the other hand will always be damaged in this way.
