I see farmers that have no security at all and wondering why are they attacked.

    1. Around your living area have electric fences. Stage 1 outer electric fence. Stage 2 inner electric fence. With sector alarms.
    2. Between stage 1 and stage 2 fences movement censor electric spot lights with patrolling dogs per sector.
    3. Alarm system with beams that is connected to neighbors with warning LED.
    4. CCTV cameras with remote view up to 1km. Before you enter your living area, remotely check on your cell phone for danger. A PTZ camera or cameras with automatic movement sensors. Automatic send intrusion data to your cell phone or ipad.
    5. Arm yourself and your family. Get training if you are not able to handle an emergency situation regarding a farm attack.
    6. An escape plan into place in case of an emergency. Don't get caught with a surprise attack.

Any farmer that needs assistance regarding security can contact me for advice.

Get an ex-Recce or army personnel that is unemployed to stay on your farm for extra security and training.

Remember this is a war against the farmer how ready are you for this war?

I get what you are saying, but the type of farms that gets the most attacks are with old people.
    1. Most can't afford that level of security
    2. Most can't manage half of those systems
    3. It won't be a farm anymore.

It's a difficult situation and there isn't a one size fits all solution.

Most drastic measures for the most dangerous work in the world to be a farmer in South Africa even more dangerous as a policeman in South Africa.

    1. & 2. There are affordable systems available (depends on each individual's requirement) and it is not more difficult to operate those systems as a cell phone.
    3. It won't be a farm anymore. The sooner the farmers realise this the sooner less farmers will be killed.

Old people living on a farm should get someone to look after their safety.

Most ex-Recce's (the real ones) are highly paid individuals with their own business or working for salaries. Ex-army may not always translate into highly motivated highly skilled. Employing your owning security require PSIRA registration. And very few people are willing to risk their lives for a few rands. And for 24 hour protection you need at least 2 of these with perhaps 3 for weekend shifts. Most farmers do not generate the cash to sustainably afford this. Your proposal is more or less in the budget of movie stars and corporate executives.
