Federal Micro HST in 38 Special +P announced

Not every day you see something catered for the snubby guys, but Federal have brought their famous HST design to 38 Special.

Meet the new Federal Micro HST in 38 Special +P, 130gr :

More details and a listing on the Federal site are likely to occur during Shot show.

Looks like quite an interesting design. Hopefully its a good combination like the 9mm HST, and not like the underperforming 380.
It will also probably be quite a while until some gel tests are done though - will be interesting to see if the hollowpoint cavity plugs and doesn't expand or if it expands and penetrates less than 12 inches.

Probably would take 1-1,5 years for them to get to SA but hey, it's something :)

Just noticed a gel test on this round on Youtube :

I doubt it's calibrated gel, but it is interesting. Only 804fps/187ft/lbs but still looks promising. This round hasn't been readily available in the US, and still isn't, so maybe we'll see some denim tests, etc eventually.
