Saw a post that it's called the Sig XM17. It's a P320 but don't know if it was modified at all.

Doesnt "X" mean it's in the US mil development / testing phase?
The X will probably fall away once it's officially in, and be called the M17.

Also $2000+ per pistol. SOCOM, MARSOC, most of NATO, the FBI, etc... all went Glock. I hope President Trum squashes this. General Mattis is not a fan of DoD procurement policy and stated it was better to buy COTS (ie a Glock 19) and be done with it.
Beretta offered the M9A3 for $580 a pistol.
