Default Man ABANDONS family for hunting:

I believe quite a few of the guilty ones are here on Gunsite!

A report in the Daily Mail about our blackpowder hunt.
Unfortunately quite a few factual inaccuracies, and the word "abandon" for going on a hunt.

Well done Doc to and your fellow re-enactment colleagues.

How did the topic end up on the Daily Mail?
Recent studies show that 1 out of every 3 liberals are just as dumb as the other 2

They did an interview with MC Heunis of Bloemfontein.
His wife, Vicky works at the South African war Museum in Bloemfontein.
One of their journalists must have picked up the trail there.

I'm thankful for those who go on this mini-trek especially when Gert posts the narrative and photos. I'm looking forward to this year's expedition.

Patocazador, yes, we already commence preparations for this year`s expedition...we will have a lot of short videos regarding aspects of this expedition to explain how we do some of the activities like baking bread in a river bed..describing the black powder rifles and the re-loading processes ect....
