I'm not going to choose a side in this fight as I like all reliable and accurate guns.
Looking at the security industry in general (there are exceptions) their rifles seem to be carried and banged around a lot and shot verly little. Just the opposite of what sport shooters would do with theirs. Keeping this in mind, an overweight AK-derivative might just last longer than a tricked-out sporting rifle.
