    Default Adventure wagon

Saw this today at a local shopping mall. Google tells met it's a Borgward B2000 military truck from the 1950's. With German-EU plates it looks like it was driven all the way here, and quite recently at that. Did not find the crew though.

From what I could find, the B2000 was only made in 1959. Must be somewhat rare.

    Engine was a 2,3 litre petrol 6-cylinder with 90 HP. Top speed 95 km/h, consumption 5km/l.

Seems like this was the original SUV!

The Unimog (also available in pretty much the above above-chassis configuration) was earlier :P

While the chassis configuration was similar, the original Unimog body was a single cab configuration, making it a versatile agricultural/military truck, not primarily a people mover like this Borgward. The double-cab Unimog only became available from the factory relatively recently. And it's still a heavy duty truck with a GVM of around 6T.

But as Skaapie says...portals. Single biggest difference that made the Mog what it is IMO
