Re: Dashprod Shotgun Owners Thread
Much excitemenet today when the RAM courier arrived at work with a box to deliver to me...
Yes, the new Dashprod has arrived!
So, just finished unpacking and wanted to ask a quick question about the chokes.
There are 5 external chokes included (black), from full to cylinder, as well as the breaching end installed and another internal stainless choke (cyclinder I think). Oh yes, and a choke tool.
Only the internal stainless choke has the grooves for the choke tool, not the other 5.
My questions are as follows:
*Can I assume that the external chokes all just hand tighten? (no tool required?)
* Is the internal stainless choke for when you remove the breaching end and just want a standard barrel (Cylinder) with no extension?
Any feedback would be appreciated. Pictures explain...

Re: Dashprod Shotgun Owners Thread
GlockForce, are you sure the first one from the left is a choke? Mine look the same and as far as I can figure that is a barrel extension (inside is also threaded to accept a choke, same as barrel). Not sure why it would be included, but there it is. The choke with 2 rings is also missing from the set. I also did not get an internal choke, but did receive a choke key.
To answer your question, the extended chokes handtighten only. However, I have found that they tend to loosen slightly when shooting, so I retighten prior to loading for the next stage (if I don't swop chokes). It is also recommended that one uses choke grease to prevent the chokes from getting stuck, I presume from carbon build up.

I also only got 3 internal chokes, the breacher choke and the choke tool.
@P30, please provide close up pics of the mounting options with the sling as I want to attach a sling to mine too. Also what sling did you go for, which mounting clips and where did you get them (plus approx price of each)?

Re: Dashprod Shotgun Owners Thread
Here are some close ups of the front mount. 20170314_170821.jpg
I got all of it at Dave Sheer. The quick release sling mounts were approx R295, the sling was also R295 and the front mount was R200. The front mount is a Mossberg/Winchester mount but worked well.
I researched a lot of options including a 1" quad mounted on the tube with a QD swivel. This however turned out to be the lowest profile.
I then just drilled a small hole in the stock for the rear swivel mount. Everything took about 5 minutes to do.
Cheers
