It can take 3 months, the 90 days for renewal started on the 28th of March, the day it was issued, current license expires 28th June. Even if done at province 2 weeks is not bad, Rustenburg to Potch and issued.

I had some applications approved last year within 2 months of the application date. It took another 2 months after that to get the printed card. If I were to call CFR now, they would still tell me that my card hasn't been printed yet... Their whole system is truly a bugger-up.

I have a section 16 and section 13 (both handguns) that are in at the moment and both are fast approaching 90 days (13 April 2017). Not much movement on those. Someone is sleeping with his/her face on my files during working time...

    Hi Guys.
Submitted my application for an Akkar 12 Gauge Shotgun on 27 Feb 2017.
Processed correctly at Primrose Police Station (great bunch of people in the DFO's office) and 'captured' with correct details on the CFR's system (application# *****00).
Called into the DFO's office this morning on another matter and thought that I would ask them to check the progress of the application for the Akkar Shotgun....
Which, according to the CFR's system, has now become a SAR 12 Gauge Manual Bolt Action Rifle !
    Watch this space
    Regards.
    Keith.
