Re: Training with an Airsoft gun, is it worhwhile?
Thanks for the insights so far!
T, I have just downloaded Ben's book to my phone :)
As others have mentioned, dry fire does get a bit boring though. I thought airsoft would add a bit of fun to training and it's human nature to want to do fun stuff rather than boring stuff. Maybe Ben's book will make my dry firing a bit more interesting.
It's a pity the Shadow GBB is crap because it already has the same grips, sights, etc. as my real gun. Are the ASG and KJ Works brands the same thing? I wouldn't really want a different model like a 75B.

Strange co incidence was reading up on 10m Airpistol shooting yesterday and ran into this.
Not sure how the first one will help you keep sights in line.

Re: Training with an Airsoft gun, is it worhwhile?
Ben's book completely revived dry fire for me. After a few weeks I actually look forward to the day's dryfire so I can chip away at those crazy par times. I would look into that before investing a lot of money into an airsoft setup

Re: Training with an Airsoft gun, is it worhwhile?
I kinda bought this on seeing it in November at BNT.
Its a magfed Paintball marker. Uses Compressed Air only in Stock.
Full auto at 18bps.
This thing is incredibly fun. You even get a nice recoil bump with the bolt moving.
Me and my daughter shoot in backyard at just about anything.
And if you want a bit more fun you go join a Sunday game where the targets shoot back.lol

Keep a journal of your Stoeger drills. I use Excel, logging the times I can achieve every session. Among many other benefits, seeing improvement is rewarding.
