i must be honest though i have a GSG kalashnikov sidemount on my chinese/bangladeshi 56 and the rail is dead on with regards to the rear sight.

I dont have the milled out centre though so unless my rear sight is elevated at 200/300m i cannot use the irons sights unless the rail is removed

I called MI on Monday and they claim it's a bent receiver and that many AK's are like that. He said I should still be able to adjust the windage and elevation and use it....it just might be a bit weird being off center.

He told me if I was unhappy I could send it back for a refund. He recommended if I return it, I try the Texas Dogleg.

How about the RS regulate mount, it seems to be adjustable so it can fit on skeef AKs.

From what i have read, the RS is the ultimate side rail mount.
With regards to that AK in question, one of the reasons Jim Fuller preferred using build kits and sourcing parts, he said the American market is still making sub standard AKs and AK parts. Apparently building a well built reliable AK is not as easy or cheap as initially thought.

I would go the TWS route.

The RS Regulate is indeed the King Daddy from everything I've read. But the MI one is also up there as far as favorable reviews. What bothered me about the AK 303 mount is how the rail is not over the centerline of the rifle....you need an additional angled piece of picatinny rail to get the optic centered. It just seemed so unbalanced to me with the bulk of it off to the left.
