Lost Competency Certificate...PLEASE HELP :(

Hi All,

So in 2012 I received my competency certificate from SAPS. This was the A4 printed and not the card type. Now I bought a new rifle today and for the life of me I cannot find the competancy certificate which I have to attach to my license application...(I know, I know)

I enquired from our DFO and she said that I have to apply for a duplicant which will take the 90 days as per any application as they cant print this at the station.

Is this right that the DFO cant print an A4 duplicate ?

Bull. It's a simple printout and your DFO can do it.

I got a copy of my SLR competency certificate last week.

Yup, they can print your competency, stamp it and you can use that

Go speek to your DFO nicely!!!

Mine greet me with a smile, maybe because I always smile and try to be pleasant with them. They just printed a duplicate I asked for.
