    Just to revive this very interesting thread:
    If you have a variable optic and an offset optic, at what range do you zero each optic?

    And where can one get the mounts to connect Trijicon RMR's to picatinny rails?

    I like a 50/200 zero for the main optic and a 25m zero for the offset

    Like T said 50/200 and 25, BUT just for thought, most of the top guys in SA and Europe are running just a 1-6 or 1-8. I had a chat to the guys at vektor (two of their guys are going to Russia) and their learned opinion is that the new 1-6/8 scopes are so good it negates the need for an offset.

    But is part of the reason for an offset RDS not so you don't have to fiddle with the magnification when transitioning between near and far targets? Or is the time difference negligible?
