The account given describes a very close encounter. If that was the case, it will be supported by a lot of ballistic evidence on the deceased

So..., did the intruder stab the shooter from the other side of the wall?

running away = threat has stopped
if the rumour is true... he might be in a lot of trouble.

This does make for a very interesting read.

Bullet trajectory is very hard to lay down as fact if you don't know precisely where the person was, or where the other person was standing. Same deal with entrance wounds - turn your body whichever way and you can completely twist the possible bullet trajectory.

But yeah, it does change things a little. Proving it however, is a thing the State will have to worry about.

I know but all 3 could create enough doubt in a story...

I hope they come out with more info.

The attacker was shot in the chest, no doubt because there was no exit wound. I'm not sure if the police think evidence was planted, I don't know but if what happened is what he described there should be blood where he was attacked, it was apparently a deep, nasty wound. So this should corroborate his version of the shooting.

He appeared in court and was released, not sure if on bail?! Anyway, will keep you up to date, there should be news soon.

It would be pretty impressive running away and/or climbing a wall.... and getting shot in the chest (front).

Apparently they think he got shot while climbing over the wall to enter and fell backwards which is still very unlikely because he (the grandson) doesn't live there and there is proof that he was called there after his grandmother saw someone in her yard. Guilty until proven innocent I guess. I still don't understand why they took all his other weapons though.
