Re: Calling all .22/.22wmr and 22hornet owners
Bought it at ********* in Cape Town - they had CCI & Winchester in stock. Another time we had to order from Joburg (Nicholas Yale?) who had stock. Last time I checked ********* still had stock but that was probably 3 years ago. You just gotta know who & where to ask....
Edit: Decided to remove the name of the gunshop for fear of incriminating them

I have never been given any issues regarding the description vs the actual rifle
I have bought ammo from various places and never had a problem
Was seriously worried about it when i received the license but almost 10 jears later it dont bother me anymore.
I have even been through a few road blocks with no problems

I went to the license department after i received my card and spoken to them
The basically told me that i either had to do a caliber change and then re apply for it or since the serial numbers etc is correct i should just leave it because according to them i gave the wrong info on my application
Unfortunately for them i had a complete stamped copy of my original application and i showed them its not my fault. This hornet comes down from my grandfather and even when it was registered on my fathers name it was classified as a .22 long rifle, so on the police data base its a .22 long rifle.
Was really stressed about it then because thats my working rifle and i literally have it in my bakkie with me at least 2 to 3 weeks a month on the farm
I will see how to correct it with the re application coming up
