Which new 1911 for classic division?
I'm looking for some ideas for a new locally supported 1911 for classic division in IPSC.
Any pointers to who is importing and supporting what these days? I've been through a few dealer sites and from what I can see SIG has some models available, but in tan colour or non-standard 1911 slides. I suspect that the SR1911 might be the gun for me.
Thanks :)

Re: Which new 1911 for classic division?
Hi Shooter.
I'm using a Sig Match Elite 1911 in 9mmP in Classic Division. Smith and Wesson also do a single stack SW1911 in 9mmP, the Pro Series. Both are IPSC Classic legal.

If money was no object, personally, I won't mind a STI Spartan or Trojan in 9mm. Don't know about availability and back up in SA though.

Re: Which new 1911 for classic division?
If I had the money to buy a Classic gun now, it would be a Colt Competition 9mm. A Sig in 9mm would be my second choice
