To all the proponenents of the death penalty:

I also was one.

BUT, i have also been a practicing advocate for the last 15 years.

No sir, I am no longer a proponent.

Do you realise what has happened to the (our) bench?

I'm not going to explain myself. I'm there everyday. In civil cases, but it matters not.

They suck. The judges.

You know. And I grew up in the house of a real judge.

I'm not pro death penalty. Too easy for the innocent to slip through - don't believe in an eye for an eye either. (Shooting someone is SD is not an eye for an eye

)

I am however a proponent of hard labour, and no voting rights.

Death penalty has little to do with justice and a lot with power, I'm strictly against it. But I'm also a supporter of punishment, it is stupid to have laws when they are not implemented and when people get out on parole without any control or are not even indicted because the dockets got lost or all the witnesses have either disappeared or dead. This is not the rule of law, this is rule of criminals. End of rant.
