CZ 7/85B Hammer Upgrade

I've seen a few 75B running what appears to be thinner SP01 hammers, while this looks cool (it's right up my alley) what practical use does it have?

I've heard guys speak about the hammer hooks and a cleaner brake, could someone please walk me through the lingo and come up with an opinion of whether it's worth it or not.

I have a spare stock SP01 hammer and would be willing to give this a bash, as I understand it the hammer will need to be narrowed to fit the gun ... so be it

I hope this isn't a single only hammer?

If you saw the 75 competition hammer it has a different geometry that doesn't interfere with the trigger.

Cock the hammer and pull the trigger slowly. You will see the standard hammer move by about a millimeter before falling.

I do not know why this is or how come the competition hammer's cut doesn't come standard. Maybe there is some advantage to having it push against the hammer before letting off.

This would be your normal DA/SA trigger.

That brings another Q would this still be production legal... I'm sure it would?

I have fitted my pre-b 75 with a round hammer that look similair to the SP 01 hammer. It has a larger hole than the 75B hammer.
Have been shooting production without anyone asking questions. In my opinion if your not busy customizing a Shadow2, Sapsa will look the other direction.

The pre b came with the spur hammer. I changed it for cosmetic reasons.
I changed it more than 10 years ago, so I can not really recall if it made a difference.
