Default Mother in Law + Expired licence = driving me nuts

    The issue:
White licence expired so I asked if she still has the green licence - answer was yes.

Now I'm told she does not know off or recall anything about a green card.
Asked her to check if there is anything in the green ID book but no reply yet.

What she does have is the old blue ID and the licence is in there.
A old post here on Gunsite suggest that the blue one is also still valid - can anyone confirm?

However, if it is still valid, not sure if it is in her case - there is written 'Cancelled' over the licence. (I'm assuming when either the green or white licence was received, which she can't recall.)
Not sure what to do next?

    Thx, Chaka

ALL old licences or permits are still valid!

    That is all.

Unless she applied to have it cancelled, my guess is that the SAPS wrote "cancelled" over it when they gave her the white card. That means nothing.

Next time, try harder. It's not really funny anyway.

    Thanks Paul.

mmm, typed a follow up but seems to be missing now, not sure what I did...

Anyway, MiL saying its getting to much and wants to get rid of the firearm. At least I can now say it still valid and just keep it safely locked up.
Not sure if that will convince her though. Can we book it into dealer stock with the blue id or can I apply for a licence? Seen suggestion re green id and dealer stock, nothing on anyone trying with the blue id.

.22 pistol. Wife's dad passed away when still a baby, so sentimental value. She is doing competency and that triggered the question to mom when does the licence expire...
