Re: DIY handgun carry case
I saw some convoluted foam at dischem. Only problem, its yellow and I think meant for beds and pillows. R450 for single bed size and about 7cm thick.

Re: DIY handgun carry case
So, got the foam today, 50x 450x300mm to fit inside the case, I can fit in 2 units, I bought 4 in case I screw up the foam, and attempt 1 worked out perfectly, still a few minor changes here and there, but the top sheet of foam is about 98% done.
ill try to upload a pic as soon as possible.

Re: DIY handgun carry case
One way to work the foam is to wet it and then freeze it, once frozen you can saw/router it almost like wood. Bigger pieces takes a few sessions to get done. Some care needs to be taken concerning electrical tools and water.

Re: DIY handgun carry case
Thanx
Dont really have access to a freezer that size or a saw.
But this was attempt nr 1
This was just the upper block
Underneath still needs to be done for general purpose as well as my 2nd handgun and its holster and mags.

Re: DIY handgun carry case
Although not a Hardcase, I've stumbled on this at Game today. R200. Might work as a Handgun Carry case with minor mods. Well padded.
