Default Zeiss repairable in South Africa?

    Zeiss Conquest HD5 5-25x50
Fell while on rifle. Possible to repair it in RSA?
Scope is almost in 100% working order.

If not. Do you have normal house insurance?
It covers the repair of it. Even if not specified.
I slipped backwards coming of small hill about two years back on farm.
Banged the paralax tube and front of scope as I fell on it.
I do not have it specified with Santam. They only asked if I was using it for sport shooting competition during accident.
Said no was busy hunting. They asked for quote which I got from two dealers. And within 3-4 days Santam paid out scope.
Think less R500. It also did not effect no claim or premiums.

Thanks. To be honest I am a broker myself and bought it from insurer. So I cant claim for it. So I would like to repair it.
Is there a repairer for zeiss scopes in RSA?

Contact the distributors. The German scopes generally have excellent warranties and repair policies. You will likely be charged for the postage to the factory.

I spoke to Zeiss RSA and they sent photos and a mail to Germany to ask them if the scope is repairable and what the costs will be.

Hopefully they have a repair plan. Steiner also German. Has where if its unrepairable. They charge you an exchange fee around a R1000. They then just give you a new one. This happens within 1-2 days.
I had it with Bino I received that was an older Steiner that was broken. Took into to see if they can do anything. Then they said just pay replacement.

Sure Zeiss will try and at least be same as Steiner. Since both German higher end manufacturers.
