P2CC in IPSC rifle div?
Is it possible or legal to shoot a P2CC in ipsc rifle div? Anyone do it?
I guess that 9mm is out due to the 150 power factor. So probably major guns only?
Why don't they make a division for carbine conversions? Should be a lot of fun.

Isn't the minimum calibre .223?

Re: P2CC in IPSC rifle div?
Correction. There is no minimum calibre. But as you said, 150 pf will be tough in a handgun though

Big IPSC rifle matches with plates at 250m will be tough going.

Re: P2CC in IPSC rifle div?
The original intent for minimum calibre was based on popular rifle rounds in the early 80's and not handgun rounds. So no 9mm submachine guns.

Re: P2CC in IPSC rifle div?
Official agreement from the rifle rules director on IPSC Global Village that pistol calibers are in fact legal for rifle matches, as long as it makes the required factor. I asked this exact question there.
Mention was made about the competitor being at a huge disadvantage over long distances, as the other guys have pointed out.
No mention of 'intent' anywhere, either in the rules, or on that thread. So no idea how you are able to read peoples minds on the matter.
Pistol carbines and or carbine conversion kits are a great way to get the people interested in the rifle side of IPSC, and works well at many club level matches... where most ranges do not exceed 50m.
