    Default Norinco m4 help

    Hi boys,
    Need some advice.

I want to remove the carry handle sight system as its shit - yes shit, the back site has failed, cannot get it sighted in, seems the spring has failed or something.

Now I want to remove it and the front post site.
The question is , I followed instructions on youtube but once I took everything apart I see the gas tube actually runs into the front post / sight. I dont see how you can remove this.

    Any advice?
    Its the norinco m4
Thanks - I have put a quad rail system so would like pop up sights.

You can cut it or remove it and put a low profile gas block on.

Removing the front post can sometimes be a bitch

Rather do it right the first time and put a low profile gas block on

Angle grinder is a bit savage, I would rather use a dremel and do it properly.

Why not leave the front post and only fit a new rear sight?

Pretty much all the gunshops on here should be able to help you out. Sure Hailstorm or Spartan arms can do it.

100% spot on. Low profile gas block and get a competent gunsmith to fit it.

What part of the country are you in? In the Western Cape Petrus Jonker can shave a front sight. He does a very good job.

The angle grinder hacksaw wasn't such a facetious reply, it can be done yourself. But a pro can also do it.

Some Free float fore ends are too narrow to fit over a cut front post unfortunately.

But it is by far the cheapest option
