It's not always cheaper or should I say priced better or even more convenient if you buy local. I have many examples of stuff I bought on Amazon where I saved thousands on the landed cost. I literally just purchased another scope but this time I had to pay for shipping (Amazon wouldn't deliver to Durban so I had to go via Optics Planet). Even including the shipping cost I'm still landing it at R5000 less than any reputable local supplier quoted me. I've even gone as far as checking the less-reputable ones (guys where I personally would not buy) and even they were up Two and half thousand. So I guess it's all in the budgeting. Look around and I've found that a lot of stuff works out more reasonable if you buy locally but there's also a lot of money to save if you purchase abroad.

My understanding is they won't ship stocks, grips etc but will ship Magpul mags.
