"Book out" a rifle to someone else
Hi.
In the past I heard it was possible for a farm owner with a license for business purposes to "book out" (not sure about the correct terminology) to someone else who already had a license for a rifle.
Is this true, and is it still allowed?

I would guess that the farmer/outfitter had a rifle registered in the company name and if one of his employees accompanied the hunter, the loan of the rifle would be legit.

Provided the employee holds a bussiness competency. This is covered under Sec 20 of the FCA, same section, regs and procedure as for security companies.

Re: "Book out" a rifle to someone else
Before the current law. And when we still had Green cards. In the 90's.
People actually could borrow a firearm to someone else by merely signing a form.
And they could go shoot and bring back.
You could actually sell secondhand and give guy permission to store and use.
This has completely fell away.
You can now in certain cases still get storage permit but not use.
