Do you nick yourself often
when sharpening you knife, or is it just me....
I keep getting little nicks on my thumb and the side of my first finger. They dont hurt, I usually feel when I eat curry or I see a few drops of blood. What am I doing wrong?
Im really new to knife sharpening.....

Re: Do you nick yourself often
My Lansky has never let me down. I once sharpened a single knife for 2x full length movies. No harm to me.

Re: Do you nick yourself often
This is hilarious, I thought it was only me, LOL!
I find it quite therapeutic to relax with my Lansky and a blade.
My girlfriend commented that this is like "knitting for men"
But I have nicked myself a good few times, once quite nicely!

I usually get bitten when testing the blade for sharpness afterward. I usually see if I can chop through a free-hanging hair. So, obviously, I chopped straight into my finger.
