    Thanks for posting. Well done on the fox.

    Beautiful scenery, somehow in my head I only see forests and famland when I think of hunting in France (too many Asterix and Obelix books I suppose).

    France is a country with many many regions. Almost a bit like South Africa. We live in the South - about 30 km from Avignon. The main animals to hunt are wild boars and roe deer (and other small animals like ducks and rabbits). If you drive on the highway for about 2 hours you get to around Lyon/Greoble - And then you are into the mountains - the Alps. Snows a lot during winter and there you find mouflon and chamois. If you carry on a bit you get to the forrested areas where you can hunt wild boar, cerf (red deer) up to 200kgs and other types of deer. Here are some photos of how it looks around my house - all of them were taken in an radius of 2km from our house.
